This is such a great song! Surrender your ways to Jesus. Lord have you way in me!!

Breaking Free

Breaking Free is all about understanding that we should not be held captive to the sins and insecurities of this life and that once we ask Christ into our lives, we are free to live in his presence. He has forgiven us of our sins by his great mercy and grace, so that we can enjoy the benefits God intends for us to have everyday of our lives. Beth Moore (the author of Breaking Free) has a quote about captivity. "A Christian is held captive by anything that hinders the abundant and effective Spirit-filled life God planned for her." Then it refers to the verse, 1 Corinthians 2:29 However as it is written, "What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived"- the things God has prepared for those who love him. God has so much he wants to bless us with, yet we have areas of captivity that just hold onto us and hold us back. We just need to surrender to God our whole lives, even in these areas and he will provide in ways that we cannot imagine. I know lately that I have been held captive by the insecurity of focusing on what everyone else is thinking about me. I feel like God has been telling me that instead of obsessing about other people's opinion's about me, I need to keep my focus on him. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33 God made me who I am, If I seek him first everyday, he will bless me in so many ways. We should surrender to God, the areas we are held captive to.

Bible Studies :)

Hey everyone! Sorry, I did not post yesterday. School is keeping me really busy, I have to maintain school work, while also keeping up with my social life! haha Well, I just want to go into what I do to have a relationship with Christ. I have been so passionate and on-fire for my relationship with Christ, each day I wake up read two daily devotionals called, Jesus Calling and also His Warrior Princess. I recommend both of them, they are great! Then during the day time, I do a bible study called, Breaking Free by Beth Moore. Oh-my-gosh. This book is excellent. I have never been that great at
understanding what the Bible means, so this bible study helps me to break it down. This Bible Study refers back to verses in the book of the Bible, called Isaiah.

Hey everybody! I'm Carmen Maciel. I just want this blog to be a place where I can share what God reveals to me in my typical day. I actually have to make this blog, because I am in a website design class, and we have to make our own website, and I wanted a blog to be apart of the site. When I started to think about what my website would consist of, Christ just put it on my heart that somehow I should share my relationship that I have with him, with all of the people around me. This will help me to pursue his word, and also share the amazing blessings God has surrounded me with. I have prayed over the past couple of days, and it has just been so exciting to me to start this blog called TransformYourHeart.
